Rendos' new SPS corner tank

Jay: You were actually the person I was thinking about when he didn't post a pic of the "basement"...lol If I remember you were having a hard time trying to decide on what color to paint your PVC....

Most new tank builders seem to take pride in showing off the basement....I think Richard thinks I am weird for asking, so thanks for stepping up....maybe now he will round out his pics for you....

Very nice Choates wrasse! Do they bury like Leopard wrasses? Your SPS looks kind of like a nice size colony of Pearlberry

Yes, I am weird like that. Maybe OCD....ha I have all my plumbing and sump neat and orderly, and keep it clean. All the sides of the sump wiped down of salt splash, vacuum out detritus, matching colors, dust wiped out of stand regularly, etc......ha. I'm insane. :)

Jay - It is Acropora delwasii. Bali maricultured piece. I hope it's color gets better. It looks a little pale to me.
The choati is a leopard wrasse. So, yes, it does bury. I have three leopards in there right now. The choati and two female bipartitus. They are just hiding a lot right now. Once they accliamte they'll be out more too.

Gary - thanks.

Richard, now that you have been up and running for a while, how do you like the lights? Does the vortech provde as good water flow as they claim?

Cody and Chris - thanks.
Traci, I love the combination of T5's and LED's. I can put the highest light requiring SPS under the LED and things that want less under the T5's. I had a Vortech on my 240 also and love the flow. It is by far the best, most versatile circulation pump I have ever had. Well worth the money.
I want to know when you're going to give woodworking lessons. I will be the grasshopper to your Mr. Miagi!!!

I am glad to hear you like your set up, it is really impressive. I am in the process of rethinking my setup totally. It looks like I am going to be loosing my wheelchair for a different one next year. They stopped manufacturing the Ibot a few years ago and will only support it with batteries and parts to the end of 2013. Really sucks is no other chair will get the height this one does. It will make it impossible to keep my tank clean.

I am thinking of a long shallow tank like 72x24x18, maybe rimless and move the sump out from under it so I can lower the whole thing a bit more. Would love to use the lights Lisa is using and vortechs as well. I have time so I can start saving now :)

As far as woodworking goes I have a lot more "wax on, wax off" to go myself. I am really just learning. Every project I do I learn a bit more. So as far as teaching you, I don't think so. That is a really nice stand you made. You would be more than welcome to use my shop anytime you wanted though.
