Renton's Upgrade

One year ago fish and corals were transferred into my new tank! Happy Birthday Tank! Just a few changes and a little bit of growth over the past year

A few quick shots from tonight under royal blue LEDs

I love this new orange plate coral (I will have to get a better picture of it soon):

I am currently very much into Rock Flower Anemones (Epicystis crucifer), here is my little garden of them:

I've started to see a lot of the rock anemones around lately, and I'm interested. In your experience do they move around on you at all?

These guys do not move much at all. Just a bit when settling in at first, but only a couple inches (provided you allow them time to get a grip before turning power heads back on).

Be aware that there are different types of anemones that are called Rock and or Flower anemones that seem to be quite different from my experience. The ones that have a less vibrant green center and purple-ish tentacles get bigger, move around more and multiply like mad. I had one as a hitchhiker in my first tank. It started tiny and got big fast and then started to split. Once I had four in my tank I took them all out and put them in my sump, where they reside and multiply currently. They are not as colorful and in my opinion can become a pest quickly.

did you happen to catch that rock with 4 rock anemones on it on Fragswapper lol

Nope, didn't see it. Were they like the ones I have pictured or more like the ones I just described above?

Here is a picture of the one i consider more of a pest back when I had it in my old tank (its now in my sump with its siblings):

and another picture of it:

Nathan,
This is a bit off topic but what are you using that steralite container under your stand for?

Thanks
Tony

That was my temporary top-off container. I now have a bigger container made out of an acrylic like material.

Got some favia frags from Jason Fox down at the Columbus swap, darn him and his seducing corals! And since he will be at the C-SEA swap in a couple weeks I just listed some corals on fragswapper in hopes of replenishing my depleted coral fund :)

I am very excited to see these guys grow out:
