In your opinion, is homewrecker worth the hype? In some pictures, it looks amazing, but in others, it looks like any other green Acro, just with a little pink on the tips. I've never seen anything other than really tiny pieces in person.

I am not asking if it is worth the price, which is a different issue. Just whether it is a nice or nicer than other high priced tenius (SC Orange Passion, Walt Disney, etc).

Well, a peak colored up Homewrecker is a unique sight to behold. However, I have discovered it is one of the most difficult corals I have to get to peak color. One slip up with Alkalinity with a spike up or down and you can kiss 80% of the pink goodbye for a couple months. Fragging it also can lead to some loss of pink.

I am approaching the best color I have had with in in quite a while (months of steady Alk), the picture was difficult to get all the pink. In the picture some of the pink is washed out to white by the brightness. The picture is under full spectrum "daylight" setting. Under the blues, it really glows.

So, its a very nice coral imo, but a tricky one as well.

Followup note, while I do like the homewrecker, two other corals I have currently top it for me. The Red Devil and Red Planet that I have consistently "wow" me with their current appearance.
