I received your pump and will have to rebuild it.
First off the manual speed control pot is erratic. Runs at full speed all the time so will have to replace the driver.
The entire wet side needs replaced. First off there were problems with the magnet grinding away at the gasket. The bearing was also going bad.
Also there was wear on the motor magnet. Appears to have rubbed against the pin spacer. I also have to replace that magnet.
Everything is now running perfectly. I will forward the repair actions to Tim and wait his advice.

I was reading back thru some of this, and really thought I should point out that this was taken care of... the last post showed that I was not responding, and I did not want to leave it that way... I was sold a broken Vortech by Melt, and then when I sold it, I had to pay for all the repairs... I did not want to do anyone the way I was done... I hope that Saj has been happy with it now
Sorry for the belated post, but I just wanted to set the record straight... I did pay to have the pump fixed, even though I was not reimbursed in the same manner
