Replacement pump for an ER RS-80

What kind of pump can I use for my EuroReef RS-80 other than the Sedra? What are my options?

about the only other pumps that would work and be an improvement without overpowering would be an ATB eheim 1250 pinwheel, and maybe a aquabee 2000/1 w/pinwheel from either DAS, or Bubble Magus for cheap.
other than that you might think about detuning either a sicce psk2500 w/pinwheel by taking some pins off the impellar, or the new tunze/sicce sm. silence skimmer pump.

If I made a switch, would I need to do some mods? Or could I simply "replace the pump"?
