Replanting the reef

For those who haven't seen it, the latest edition of Coral Magazine (free online at their website):

http://html5.pagesuite-professional...ne&pubid=b334a533-9e9b-4443-a8b3-12e2db32511a

has a really cool article about the efforts of Ken Nedimeyer and the Coral Restoration Foundation at farming coral frags to use for repopulating failed reefs. It's a really great read and tells a pretty cool story about how one person really can make a huge difference.

On a semi-related note, Ken founded Sea Life Inc, the company my group buy thread is ordering from. It's nice to know you're supporting people involved in a noble cause.

..And if you like that article, you'll enjoy the video on his coral restoration project even more.
Ken is also one of the CNN Heroes as the video explains.
Someone who's "making a difference".

Great video !!

I will have to watch that tonight.

The numbers in the article are staggering (in a positive way). At one point they mention being able to produce 10,000 colonies per year for replanting
