Hi Roger,
Happy Holidays!
At this point, my existing protein skimmer is more than 10 years old and needs constant attention. In addition, it was not rated for a 120 gal. With a 120 gal w. SPS, soft corals, and 6 medium to small sized fish, I am concerned that the 9140 would over skim. The system is doing well with all corals growing, etc. Perhaps I am overly careful, but the inefficiency of the old skimmer may leave some useful nutrients in the water. The live rock produces enough "food" to keep the Dragonet (Green Manderinfish) well fed. The sump water level is ~ 7 inches which means that using the Classic series would require a means of lifting the skimmer.
BTW, I notice that the TUNZE power usage is still very low compared to your competition.
Do you have any suggestions?
Alain
