Request For Sunday's meeting

Hi

After I pay my inaugural dues at the meeting on Sunday, I should officially be a member of CTARS!

Also, all my shipments have arrived, and shortly after the meeting, I will be adding sand, live rock, and water to the tank; plugging it all in, and starting it all up.

I'd like to thank all you guys for the good advice, and quality reading material. But I guess I have one last request: Does anyone feel liike donating a cup of their sand to help seed my tank?

I will be buying a 50lb bag of HD sand off of Herpin, and I'll probablly buy a 20lb bag (or 2?) of live sand from the meeting, but If anyone wants to donate a cup or 2 of their own, that would be awesome.

I've kept the setup exactly the same, except I've tacked on an AquaC Remora PS.

I'm still kind of confused as to exactly what I'm going to put in the wet/dry trickle filter sump thing, but I dont think it'll be too important while I let the tank cycle for a solid month or so.

Let me know if you think I'll need anything else.

As for the wet dry portion... either leave the bio-balls out and put filter media under the drip plate OR route out the drip plate to accept a micron sock. If you feel uncomfortable or unable to modify the drip plate I'll do it for you. Just let me know and I'll pack a router and template.

As for the sand I'll be more than willing to donate some sand as long as you don't mind a mix of black and white out of my refugium.

Wait a month then add the sand. I can bring you a cup to the next meeting or when you are ready.
