Request: Maxpect Riptide Control

Would be nice to have something integrated for this new gyre pump, like we do for Vortechs. :)

I know... its a long shot, but figured I'd put it out there. :D

do we know if these are reliable? GHL has an aversion to anything chinese and unproven.

I saw these are Macna was not at all impressed with the build quality, kind sucky really. Just my own opinion.

GHL care about qualiity and a controller thats not going to go wrong on you when you go on holiday which would then defeat the whole reason for having a controller

My opinion is Unless GHL can quantify the quality why should they make a hook up to something that compromises their ethos in ...quality.

Lets see how reliable these things are before basically promoting them by connecting to the most advanced and reliable controller manufactured globally.

Aren't Vortechs parts from China and just assembled in the USA?
CoralVue is behind the Riptide, they've done extensive beta testing and revisions, so I would think that even though they are made in China they are going to be better than the typical chinese knock off like jaebo.

What did you see that was so "sucky"?
You know those were not production versions, right?

Oh well, like i said... i knew it was a long shot.
At least I can plug it in to a power bar socket and just cut power completely during feed time.

You should watch the ecotech success story video, not much of any chinese workers or factories ;) Maybe back in time some items were I dont know but not anymore, even if before.

I've seen it, I've done some work for them, they're a great American company, they make design/great products, tuff to beat, no question. I have MP60's, MP40's, and I ran Radions for a couple years. Along with my Profilux equipment, I know what it's like to have the best. ;)

I just know that the Radions are "assembled" in the states. Says so on the box. Figured the same goes for the vortechs. But no matter. I was just wondering what gave you that strong opinion about the Riptide. Obviously I haven't seen a production version of the Riptide since they're not available yet but I do plan on trying one out as soon as they are. IMHO, the concept is as revolutionary to the industry as the Vortech was when it arrived. The execution... well I think that still remains to be seen.

guess im biased, if its not GHL or Ecotech im not coming to the party ;)

In my opinion (as a consumer) there are quite a few design flaws in the riptide, but my opinion will be either proved right or wrong in time I guess ;)
