Resorts in Bonaire

I went on a cruise last year and I would like to go back and spend more time there. The snorkeling was incredible and right off the beach, so my wife and kids had fun while I geeked out snorkeling. I can't recall the resort we had the excursion at but it was within walking distance to the terminal.

Looking for a resort with the following below...

-Snorkeling off the beach
-Restaurant on site or nearby
-Family Friendly

Following. Going on a cruise this April with stop in Bonaire. Would like to do some diving while there (PADI AOW certified).

Sincerely,

David

The resort we were at was smallish compared to Atlantis and others. I recall there was also a marina on the property.

Going to Bonaire for the second time here in a few weeks. We stayed at Eden Beach last time and Divi Flamingo this trip. We stopped at the Divi for the casino and liked the atmosphere at the resort so we are giving it a shot. The ocean life is great on Bonaire and I highly recommend it to anyone!

The wife and I go to Bonaire a few times a year to dive and have always stayed at the "Harbour Village Beach Club" this place is awesome and right on the beach.

Do yourself a favor and check it out online.

I've been to Bonaire a few times over the years and never look further than Captain Don's Habitat. It was one of the first (if not the first) dive resorts on the island. Captain Don was instrumental in making all of the island a protected marine sanctuary. The major draw for me has been that tanks are available 24/7/365. I've been known to wake up in the middle of the night and go for a dive.

Regardless of where you go, be sure to do a night dive on the town pier. Colors like you won't believe.

Just got back from Bonaire in February - resort wise, there's really not much. I had lunch at Captain Don's - seemed nice to me. If a resort type location is what you're looking for, I doubt there's much better on the island than that.

I found it easier just to rent a house and have a company deliver my tanks to me in the morning. Diving right off the deck helped too. Was able to do 16 dives in 7 days - stayed an 8th day to decompress at the new Courtyard Marriott. :)
