Restarting an old 280 build

Thanks, it was a journey to be sure as you well know from your amazing setup. I learned so much today I am looking forward to getting some real shots up.

here are a couple that my buddy helped me take as he was explaining the settings and how to get more in depth shots. What a difference:

So lets see how these look. I am still having some white balance issues but I will work on it more. I will try to get some FTS later.

I tried to get a few full tank shots but the room my tank is in is very narrow and it's hard to get much in focus. I ordered a wide angle lens to see if it will help. it will be here mid week next week. the only good shots I am so far away out side the room that they look pretty much like the one I already posted.

We'll see how it goes with the new lens.

Amazing tank, I love your sea horses, snowflake clown and enjoyed reading your thread.

Thank you. At least someone reads this thread lol. Oh well I update once in awhile just in case someone is :)

The FTS are still giving me a problem I am going to need to bring in one of the pros to give me a hand. But here is what I have.

So I hosted a pretty cool photography workshop at my place last weekend. Awesome group of guys (and an awesome gal) took part in it. Three of the group are amazing photographers So most of these pics were taken by them and others who attended.

The tank is doing well, I did have one of my corals RTN saved most of it by fragging it. but still unsure what the problem was. Alc was 10.9 calc 500 so that was way out of spec and might be the culprit.

anyhow here are some of the shots:

The crew!!

a few FTS

Some really cool underwater pics taken by Ben Nicholls with his brand new Olympus TG-3 (lol we learned that the wireless signal does not do so well underwater :) but the camera is awesome! )
