Tim, most digital timers have a manual on off switch for that kind of thing.
But will it restart automatically after aboiut 5 to 10 min??

When I push my feeding button now it cuts power to the power heads and will restart after about 10 min.

I like that so if I need to leave I won't have to stick around to turn the pumps back on myself.

You can set the timers to turn off and on at any time. One of my digi timers has 20 programs. If you have it turn off at the same time every day and on again in an hour, you should be fine.

Yeah I thought about that but I never feed the fish at the same time so a programmed set time wouldn't work. I'm an idiot when it comes to feeding the fish. If I can't push a button once then my whole world stops for me.

I'm the poster child for the KISS mentality.

LOL so just turn it back on 15-20 mins after you feed them. OR, switch out with that other time that automatically comes on after 10 mins ;-P

Hey Russ, what do you think of this?

I think we can use 2 transformers, 12v and 24v, wire them parallel and to the pump. Plug both into Chauvet timer, select 2 channel and fast chase 1 sec. to 1 min, adjust the duration. Chauvet will switch between 24v and 12v and the pump will continuously run at 24v and 12v without stopping at all, great for for wave box. This is easiest way, imo.

Are you planning on making a wavebox? It could work if you have a pump that would operate at 12 and 24V.

The guy who posted that was talking about the Resun like the ones I have. Maybe the version without the built in wave box.
There was a video link in the main thread in the wquipment section in RC that had an excellent wave motion using something like this. I'll see if I can't find the link to the video.

Im still not sure what you are thinking of doing Tim. Yours has a controller. Are you thinking of making a wavebox. When I say wavebox, I mean a Tunze wavebox.

I just saw the the videos and the wave motion looked cool. I was just wondering if you can control one that doesn't have it's own controller with that set up or would switching back and fourth from 12V to 24V mess them up.

I'm fine with the three I have.
