Retracted frogspawn, what to do?

My frogspawn coral has one stalk fully retracted. I had this coral for about two weeks and it's been this way for the past week. The polyp stays retracted during light on and off periods. The other 3 stalks look fine and fully extends when lights are on. My LFS says it maybe due to bacteria and suggests that I cut off that stalk because it may affect the other stalks. All my other corals are good, including my SPS. Opinions?

Tank parameters:
28 g nanocube HQI with 20 g sump. 50 lb+ LR. 4" DSB.
pH: 8.3
sg: 1.025
phos: 0
amm: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: < 2.5
calc: 550
Alk: 1.7-2.8

I have Acros, Torches, Clove polyp, Zoas, and Colt. Livestock includes percula clownfish, firefish, Rainford goby, skunk cleaner shrimps, hermit crabs, turbo and nassarius snails, 1 maxima clam.

That stalk actually looks dead.. As for it affecting other corals, it wont, ive bought frogspawn before with dead stalks attached, no harm done

Looks like a dead head to me as well. I would not cut off anything if it's near a head that's doing well. You may cut some of the tissue and cause problems there as well.

I've got a colony that has about 40 heads on it and 2 of them are dead. They are right in the middle of it and I don't dare cut them out. Eventually it'll grow out and you'll never even see it again.

Yes sir. That head is 100 percent dead, not retracted.

when frogspawn retracts, it is still visible. and i wouldnt cut the dead head off, looks like you will do more harm than good if you do

Okay thanks. Should I be concerned about some dark coloring of the head just right of the dead one?
