was just going through your pictures and noticed that I dont see any of the Lunar lights, maybe Im just blind, but was curious as to if that is one of the items removed and not put back in. I would if possible like to keep at least one set in if at all possible even if they are not needed but I do enjoy the look of them at night when all the lights do go out, If there is a way to keep them in please let me know or if Im just not able to, Also with the back of the hood and the switches wondering how you did that and if at all could you post a pic of the backside of the hood along with if you did use switches, remove them how you did this and what is hooked up to what switch

I did not keep the lunar lights. I wish I would have but did not really think of that at the time. There is "some" room, but not a lot. You would have to get creative in their placement. As for the switches, I used the stock ones. When you are clipping wires while gutting the hood, make sure you keep the connectors that are hooked up to the switches. There should be plent of room to solder them to the leads off of the new ballests. I used the two switches that origonally went to the PC lights and currently not using the one for the lunar lights.

it most def does, Im going to try and keep my lunar lights if at all possible, you have been a great help in my thinking process and will be for the doing stage for when the other hood gets here, one last thing my hood will be here before my fans, think its unsafe heat wise to do this mod with only the one stock fan till the two new ones get here? to much heat?

To be honest...I didn't run any fans in the hood for about 2 months

The splash guard never got hot, the top of the hood never got hot, and my water was always hanging around 79-80 degrees. The only reason I put the fans in was we had a warm spell here in Michigan about a month ago...haha it got upto 65 for a week....and my furnace was not kicking on because the house was above 70 degrees. When that happened my tank was getting in the lower to mid 80's. When I put the fans in there (pushing air in) and running them around 6 volts ( to keep things quiet) it put the temp back around 79-80.

I don't understand why people freek out when they are running a stock hood and their fan dies. My stock un-modded hood never got so hot I ever worried about it and I disconnected that noisy stock fan the first day I got it. But, that is just my opinion and you know what those are like...everyone has one
