Return Pump recommendation needed!

Hey PA, I just bought a drilled 90g, so I need a return pump. I'm looking at a Mag Drive 7, or Quiet One 3000. I've gone through lots of threads on here, many of them are conflicting. I'm looking for something that is quiet and reliable. I keep hearing great things about Eheim, but they are more than I would like to spend. What do you recommend?

The Mag700 is one of the most reliable pumps ever built, however it's not the quietest. I would not suggest the Quiet One as tops in either category. I'd go with the Eheim, as it's pretty much bulletproof, but not completely silent. Or go with the Tunze Silence 1074 series which doesn't have as long of a great track record like the Eheim, but it's very quiet and so far durability has been excellent.

Eheim 1260 or Tunze Silence 1074.040.

Thanks for the suggestion. The PanWorld 50PXX is in the same price range, how would you compare it to the Tunze and Eheim?

The 50 PX-X is going to be a little more flow, but higher wattage, and less heat transfer. Noise level is going to be average with that pump, you'll be able to tell it's running. For the size tank you have I still think an internal pump would be best considering noise level.
