Return Pump

What return pump should I use on a 90? I was thinking Mag 9.5 but wanted to see if there was a better option for energy consumption and heat in the water. I need it to be a submersible.

Maybe one of the small flowstars?

OK thanks, seems to be between the quiet one pump and the eheim. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

I've only used Eheims for many years now, never been let down by them.
I think a 1260 would be plenty for you.

I use an Eheim 1262 for my 90 gal and love it. Very dependable. The 1260 wasn't pushing enough for me and I have a diversion pipe built into my sump incase the flow was too high.

My Mag 9.5 is pretty quiet, although it is supported on a silicone pad to dampen any vibration. My tank tends to run cool when the room is cooler (usually is), so I have no heat issues with it.

The Blau Aquaristic Reefmotion 5000 pump may fit the bill. At 60 watts it is more efficient than the eheim 1262 for similar flowrates. I have the pump curves on my home computer if you are interested. PM me if needed.

eheim is the way to go. it just works, i serviced aquariums for the better part of 2 1/2 years, and i put my eheim service pump thru hell and it just kept working
