Return Pump

[WESTIE]

Will a Mag Drive 24 as a return pump do what I need, 65 Gal DT Life Reef sump.

9.5 ft verticle rise 7 ft horizontal run with 3 90 degree fittings in 1 in PVC.
If the Mag 24 will not do the job what pump would you suggest?

Mag24 is noisy, hot, and inefficient. It is also far more than you need for a 65. I'd look elsewhere.

I think a mag 18 will do what you want. I have a mag 12 on my 220g with a 7ft verticle rise. You don't have to take into account the horizontal length or elbows really. It effects the pump performance but not enough that you would notice. They are loud pumps but are reliable but there are pumps out there that are reliable and not loud so it's a personal preference I suppose.
