ok.. I seem to be heading to a tunze setup so far...tunze streams..tunze skimmer.

I am setting up a 180 gal tank.

does tunze make a pump that would be good for a return to my main tank ?

Technically yes. The Tunze return pumps probably don't coincide with most Americans concepts of return pumps, our biggest one does about 400gph at 6ft of head. In general we want low flow through the filter but high flow in the tank and 2 of these 7100/2 pumps would be what we recommmend. These pumps require Metric tubing and this can be done with Eheim tubing or our Metric PVC kits. Outside of this I really like the GRI pumps, a nice air cooled, quiet energy effiecient pump.
