Reuse of ro/di canisters

Does anyone reuse the canisters after you replace filters? I have a couple and don't really want to throw them out.

Yes! I reused all my RO/DI canisters. They are made to be reuse. You only need replace the filters. O-rings need to be replaced if it worn or damaged.

THose are weird.

But in general you can buy the medium and these things are generally designed to be refilled. Be sure with loose media that you tamp it down absolutely as much as you can.

When I had the RO Buddie it had the same type of canisters for the DI stage. I kept the john guest fittings, but threw away the cartridge.

If they are from the RO Buddie, or are similir, they have a hard plastic cap that hold the DI resin in. Makes it a huge PITA to try and fill. Besides their like 20$ at petco, not worth filling IMO.

Yeah I get 2 for 20 off amazon...just wondering if I can take the contents out and use the plastic she'll for anything

With a pump and some filter floss, could be used as a reactor.
