First post in probably close to half a decade, so here we go!
I am reviving a Bubble Magus NAC 9 with a dead Atman PH4000 pump in it. The case leaks and when plugged in it makes no attempts at spinning that impeller. The impeller magnet is also pretty aged and cracked. So it's dead.
BUT, I was digging through boxes of old aquarium equipment and found my Sedra 3500 skimmer pump I used long ago on a DIY skimmer, and wondered if this might be able to produce some skim in that big chamber, made for a tank 4x the size of that pump.
To add more flavor to this, I will note I am intending on using this skimmer in a 20"x20"x12" sump for a tank only 24"x24"x12". :hmm4:
