new thread for tonight...I don't know gang, I hope I am amazed tonight. I think I will start drinking now. :D

i was thinking i like the move to pitch reyes tonight. kenny rogers has been untouchable. might as well save the good pitchers for a game we maybee able to hit the ball better. we need to steal one of these games if we have a chance.

GO CARDS

well.........Rogers isn't starting it's Verlander.

Besides.........not going to look good for Reyes. He's a fly ball pitcher and Detroit can hit the long ball.

But look what we said about Weaver. Can't get lefties out. Seems like he did a good job against the Mets 6 or 7 letfties.

Kenny Rogers the chicken guy ?!

No the singer...

MLB.com is reporting Rogers will go against Weaver Sunday.

So who is our DH tonight? anyone, anyone?

I wouldn't be surprised to see So (4 for 4 with 2 HR and 4 RBI's)
as the DH and keeping Molina in front of Belliard. I didn't say he will be but even though he's a righty, he has a good on base %.
But will probably be Duncan.

Regardless of what Reyes has been like (very poor) all that is a moot point IMO...He needs to step up. Can he??? I think so

And just if anyone cares. The DH rule is stupid. At least level the playing field and keep it the same in the AL and NL

I like the DH in the AL and not the NL. Because when their pitchers come to town they have to be re acquainted with a bat and learn how to swing again.

So would be a waste of a DH.

He's only on this team to play defense, which I don't think he's that good at anyways.

Outfield will be Juan, Preson, Jimmy.

DH will be Dunc I bet

Dunc can bat 2nd. and thank god we can drop Preston down to like 7th in the order. Guy can't get on base for his life.

Looky looky, line ups just posted

Eckstein 6
Duncan DH
Pujols 3
Edmonds 8
Rolen 5
Encarnacion 9
Belliard 4
Molina 2
Taguchi 7
(Reyes P)

No Wilson, we got Taguchi instead....whatever works.

Well how about this for some thought.

Jeff Weaver traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Detroit Tigers to the New York Yankees. The Oakland Athletics sent a player to be named later, Carlos Pena, and Franklyn German to the Detroit Tigers. The New York Yankees sent Ted Lilly, John-Ford Griffin, and Jason Arnold (minors) to the Oakland Athletics. The Detroit Tigers sent cash to the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics sent Jeremy Bonderman (August 22, 2002) to the Detroit Tigers to complete the trade.

i think Mookie has to root for the cards. you have to root for the team your step-son playes on before the the team you used to play on.

i did not see him cheering that much. not much to cheer about his boy wore the colar the last night 0-3 with three stike outs.
