Great stuff. Is the second purple guy aphanes? Though many consider eshmeryi, frondosa, and aphanes the same fish. Either way that second purple Rhino is stunning. How long have you had them? Hopefully they don't fade or change color as most of them do in captivity. Obviously they are the color they are to blend into their environment. So they will almost always change color. I had my Rhino for almost a year before selling him. He was bright gold yellow, and then turned more and more drab over the months I had him. Also are they eating frozen? This has been the only marine I have never gotten to eat frozen. Here are some pics. The first being early pics. You can see how he got quite dull. Good luck with those beauties and don't feed them too much!!!!!! Tim
Cimmel1: Are you feeding them damsels/ghost shrimp? Have you tried mollies/guppies? Are they just as good for them. These $3 damsels weekly are making me go broke!!! What tricks do you do to wean them over? Pufferpunk-GET IT!!!!!!!
I feed them gut loaded rosy reds. After I get them feeding I start feeding them live rosy reds on a stick. When they get used to that I substitute silversides for the rosy reds. Try different foods at this point. Eventually They just associate the stick with food and will bite it even without food on it!
