What books are you looking in? I cant say that I recall ever seeing them in a book though.Originally posted by Nolimdien
Why can't I find this coral in any of my books?

I looked in Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman and Book of Coral Propagation by Anthony Calfo. I thought I had seen something about them before in one of those books but I can't seem to find it now.
I've had them sting other coral and be stung by other coral... In general, I recommend keeping them apart as you would most coral.Originally posted by PauChi
... and they don't sting any corals (in my tank that is)

I've noted that rhizos do not digest all food items equally. I know some people feed theirs squid, but I've witnessed them spit it back out and/or have trouble digesting it. I feed lots of Rod's predator blend and PE Mysis.
Pic is worth a thousand words...

I've tried silversides and I think they do spit them out when you're not looking as I've noticed some nutrient issues coming up lately. Tonight I checked and indeed there was an undigested silverside floating on the sandbed. So since I've been feeding silversides every night and they're spitting it out I'm guessing it's like having a fish die in your tank every night. Not good for a nano, even with an oversized skimmer! I think next time I'm going to chop it up into much smaller pieces.
