Rhomboid Wrasse Male vs Super Male - Survival

Hello
I am interested in a fish at my local FS. They claim it to be a Rhombid super male. A fellow reefer told me not to bother as they will not survive in captivity. Does anyone on the list have experience keeping the super male for any long period of time?

The only problem with "super males" is their age is often indeterminate, which could mean their expiration date is near.

Here is my opinion and only my opinion.

I love super male fairy wrasses. But in my mind I've had more survival issues with them. Maybe it's what Hunter has stated, maybe it's because they are use to being the king in their kingdom, or use to a certain food source. But I would buy a female any day and let the transition occur.

First off you save money and secondly once it becomes a male it will be extremely hardy.

+2 above.
I look at it this way, a supermale is similar to an adult angel
Harder to adapt to captivity requirements since a giant portion of their life is in the ocean. Old dog=no new tricks

+3... IMO/E they are called 'terminal' males for a reason... They won't be around long!
