It was worth every cent to buy the package. Not to mention the speed and service that Rich provides. I have so many extras that if I had to buy it locally 1 I wouldnt have near the quality live rock, and 2 I would have spent double. On top of that I have a few good extra Hitchhikers actually too many to list. I will post some pics for people contamplating using them for a start up or addition to a tank. If anyone has any questions feel free to pm. Picking up at the airport was a breeze. He packed them at 9am they where on a plane at 11:00 picked them up at the airport at 3:30...... Thanks Rich!!! Keep up the great service...

Id start pulling out that macro algae now! your going to have a heck of a time when that stuffs wraps itself around your whole rock structure, and any small piece you miss can regenerate back. It will take hours to get all of that out, but you dont want to think of what your going to have to a month of now... Probably scrap the whole tank.

Hi what is Macro alqea and what pic did you see it in? I just added all the snails and hermits to they control it?

wow your tank is coming along nicely!!!

As soon I get all my pipings done, I am going to order my package then.

I will try to reduce them. I was going for full quality.. lol

I usually upload two copies, a "raw copy right off the camera in case i need a supe rhigh resolution shot, and a "browser friendly version for posting in forums and sharing around, allows the best of both worlds :)

Can anyone identify the anemone shown in the third pic from the top? I just received my 2nd part of the package and I also have one of these, just can't seem to postively identify it.

I see it in all the pictures. All the green plants that are encrusting your rock is what I am referring too(not the one sticking out of the sand). Your clean up crew wont eat that. Only your hand can remove it.

So I need to just keep pulling it out by hand when it gets too much? Are there any fish that eat that?

Im not sure about which fish would eat it, or if any do. With the amount that you have on there though you can pull out a ton every time you do a water change and youll still be batteling it for months. I think you would need an army of fish to eat it all.

It could easily smother your corals and sponges with the quickness that it grows. The problem with the kind you have is it grows off of a vine that anchors and wraps itself all over your rockwork, making the complete removal near impossible. Without the complete removal, it will grow back. It also grows very quickly once you start adding fish and coral and food to the mix since they give it so much more food.

In the Boston Reefers Forum I got many suggestions about adding a rabbit fish. Some members had Alqea problems and said they went to town on it. Any thoughts?
