Hey, It's been a couple months and figured Id give an update.
Well the mantis capturing went fairly easy, ended up with 7. And the last bugger, who decided the rock flower anemone you gave me would be a nice dessert, and killed it, was captured 2 weeks ago. He is still alive in a 10 gallon, and very very healthy.
Still on the prowl for more gorillas, they keep showing up one by one, removed about 15 now, and they seem to love to follow my LTA around.
Is the lack of food for them causing them to goto drastic measures?
I have found 4 dead ones in the tank so far. Maybe they aren't getting food and dieing? Or a bigger Gorilla crab? The one my wife caught yesterday she said was over an inch across.
My biggest issue at the moment is I found some ciranolid isopods. Argh. I have caught 2 in mantis traps, and this morning found one on my clown. There has only been one fish in the tank since I got the rock, and he hasn't been touched by any of the bad pods. Do these things ever die from hunger? If they aren't attacking the one blenny I do have, how are they surviving? I removed my clown today because of other reasons, and it will be the blenny going solo again. Have you had any experience trying to get rid of these?
