Richard, do you ever see them this big?

The couple I got on my TBS rock are about 3" tall and growing about 1" per year. I think I'll be long gone before my Oculina robusta get this large.

Oh yea....especially out in deep water.......that is before the red tide we had two years ago.......I do seem many new colonies growing again after the devastation of the gulf by the red tide event we had.

Is a tough coral.....the big ones always have fishing line wrapped up in them as they have so much area to tangle in.

Those are such awsome corals too bad they arnt in the trade. They are some tough corals! Hopefully tough enough for their sake as a species...
