Ricky's 120 Stony Coral Garden

The corals have a lot more space between one another than how the picture portrays them. It took my last tank 5 years before I had to tear it down to start over so I'm guessing I'll have the same results this time around unless the growth is twice as fast :)

Update

I am currently going through a diatom bloom Some of the unfortunate acro's that have strains of diatoms land on their tips are dying back and becoming white. I think this is partly due to my skimmer overflowing three times in the past few weeks and putting nutrients back into the tank. I did a 15 gallon water change, added 10 turbo snails, tipped off the dead tips, and turned the lights off for three days. Since then the diatoms have been kept at bay and I hope it stays that way.
I switched out some acro's for higher end pieces. Here is my updated list, the stuff in bold was recently added:

That's quite a list of corals! Good luck with the diatoms. I hope everything has settled down for you now. Can't wait to see pictures around Thanksgiving when you come home from school.

Thanks Mark, I graduated. I got a job back in PA so I am currently living home and paying off my college loans.

Wow nice list. I wish I had a 10th of that list lol. Your tank is looking nice. Can't wait to see it a year from now.

Nice! Can you put out a little more information on the diatom thing. Isn't that just like an algae bloom? It actually was killing your sps?

It seems to be a light and nutrient problem. I turned the lights off for three day and covered the tank completely in black trash bags. I covered the top of the tank and the sump to make sure no light reached the water. I did not feed the fish for three days either. After the three days of darkness I turn just the actinics on for four hours a day. After three days I turned the halides of for two hours and increased the lighting period every two days.

DSLR pics will be posted tonight, stay tuned.
