Ricordea

I have just placed several specimens in my tank at various depths and with varying flow and light conditions. Will these animals migrate to a location they like if their current situation does not appease them? If so, how far will they travel to find the right conditions?

I've had a mushroom pick up and float around until it found a more suitable place to reattach itself, and I've also had shrooms and ricordia slowly inch their way to new locations. Of the ones that inched around, none have moved more than 2 inches away from their original location.

I once placed a ric high on a rock really close to the lights. Over the course of several months, it moved down around the rock to where it would get less light. The cool part is, it kept dropping little pieces of its foot which then grew to become full sized ricordia. I went from having one 1" frag to having about 20-30 ricordia several of which were 3" or more in about 3-4 months.

What if it appears the ricordea or mushroom appears to not like where it is but has attached itself.

What would be the procedure for relocating it?

I also have a couple of mushrooms that are growing into each other. Will they migrate apart or just coexist bumping up against one another.
