Ricordeas and Snails

I have been thinking about getting a Florida ricordea for my nano cube. I have heard stories of ricordeas eating snails. So before I buy a ricordea I want to make sure it will not eat my three snails. I have one cerith snail and two astrea snails. Thank you.

I have never heard of rics eating snails and I have never lost a snail to a ric. I have astraea, cerith, nassarius, turbo, and trochus snails with a dozen or so rics. I would not worry about it.

Where did you hear those stories? I have kept Ricordeas and Yumas for over 4 years and I never witnessed anything like that. Rics and Yumas are awesome hardy corals and totally safe for your reef tank.

If anything I'd bet the snail tried to snatch a piece of shrimp the yuma was eating and was just in a tug-o-war with the yuma.
