Rics, and shrooms in flow

Hi. i read that mushrooms will do OK in flow, that they do not prefer it, and that it will prevent them from opening up all of the way. Will it also prevent them from spreading as fast as they might with no flow. or low flow? As for rics it was said that they can actually melt if in too much flow. what's up with that. Will they survive, but just not open all the way, or will they perish.

It really depends on the individual shroom. For all mushrooms though, some flow is necessary even if it is very low. They do tend to spread out more in low flow than in higher flow in general. My yumas are doing great in med flow and high light, but every coral is different...

Mine are in decent flow but I use Tunze which is a very wide flow which is different from an MJ blasting a stream on them. If they don't like it they will move
