Amazing as always, Dan great looking stuff. Sorry I have lost so much contact with everything. Were having a baby in 3 months. Moved one of our businesses down a new building, and things have been very hectic lately.
My tank was also neglected during that time. Got AEFW and let all my acros die. roughly 4 months ago. Just started puting in new corals roughly 7 weeks ago.
Now im trying to get some stuff back that I had before, while making sure that i DIP EVERYTGHING from here on out. Everything is going very well so far with the resurrection. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,I appreciate it.As far as a FTS,if i could figure out how to take one that doesnt look like crap,lol,I would be glad to post.I am working on it so maybe some day.

Wow,Congrats on the baby,thats great.Take care of the wifey and baby on the way,reefing can wait .Sorry to hear about the tank but now is a good time to rebuild,I will hook you up with some goodies when you are ready.:)

Jon... sorry i was running late up in WB i couldn't swing over to get the resin. ill call you this week.
 
It's tanks like this that almost make me want to get rid of 28 of my fish :D

hardly ever happens for me. I want to take a look at your photo box Dan. I'm going to make one next week I think. I just need to look at it for an idea.

I made one last week with a piece of acrylic. I bent it with a heat gun then used aquarium silicone to seal it.

When i get my new DSLR i willmake one with a tripod screw in it so i can just hold the box... it really sucks trying to hold both.

Dan- does your's have a screw for the D40? If so i willl need to check it out also :)

Yes,its has a hole for mounting the camera.just a simple box really glued together with weldon #4.I made it to fit my D 40 but i guess it would work for just about any camera with a tri pod mount
 
Yea. Im trying to work out a bracket for the sides, along with the center brace so I can take some different angles. Along with.. A new freaking lens, More and more I see the pics with the tamron 90mm macro, mind blowing.

On that side note. Dan you are getting very dangerous with that camera. Nice pics.
 
Amazon is having a sale on the tamron plus a 50 mail in rebate... that lens is sweet. I might just go with a d5000 body & the tamron lens. All i used my old dslr for was coral shots.
 
that sounds like a good combo but beware its not the equipment that takes a great photo its the photographer, :)
Not implying that my pics are great by any means,I take 200 photos to get a half dozen i feel are good enough to post and unfortunately i see many flaws in those few also :(
