Thanks jeremy, the birdsnest is a new release.it just came out.I am not a big fan of birdsnests but this one i really liked.thicker then others i have seen and nice contrast of color, purple to neon green.well we will see when it grows up in about a year or 2 LOL
Your right on the money with that. Having seen your tank in person it's a wonderful addition. Dan is it in your display or your side tank?

I don't think we would make it to far from Dans house before we see a dodge truck & a shotgun.

... anyone have any idea on if the growth is expected to be the same as other birdsnests?

Thanks everyone.
pok, i will try to get some equiptment pics up this week when i get some time
dave ,i will try to get some updated shots also
and rich, the Bird of paradise seems to grow fast for me so far.if it keeps going at this pace it will be a colony in 6 months or less.i guess time will tell

Here are a couple new pics.I have been so busy with NCPARS swap and life in general i have not had alot of time to play with the camera but i managed to steal a few minutes and got these under actinics

Nice Dan, let me know when I can come down for a while and have some more fun with a little camera shoot.

I wanna get some better pics of your beauties.

Always nice to see pics of your tank Dan. Thanks again for all the frags I got from you, everything is doing very well. The frag I gave you, I have the colony at the top of my tank, about 6-8" under water's surface and I use 250wt 14K bulbs, just so you had some idea where I kept it, my halide are about 9-10" from the water. I hope it continues to do well for you. Talk to you again soon.
Matt

Thanks ric,we can get together anytime but i dont think you will learn anything from me about photography,i am terrible at taking a decent pic and after 6 months of owning a D40 i am still clueless.here are a couple shots with all the lights on.

i am late to this thread, but wanted to congratulate you on a gorgeous reef, dan. love your collection of corals and the amazing growth and colors you have produced. thanks for sharing.

I got some frags from Dan last year at the frag swap in Penn State and all I can say is WOW! There were the nicest pieces one could want and very healthy. They were doing very well in my system until a serious tank crash while I was away on vacation last fall. Lesson learned for me about trusting general care of the tank to a non-keeper, even for a week.
