you're all wrong. Your aquariums are trimless not rimless but i digress.... :p My tank is both rimmed and trimmed. I guess i shouldn't be in here :eek1:

how come we drive on parkways and park on driveways? lol its all just a name...

i dont have a "rimless" tank either but i like looking at pics :eek2: :eek1:

Wow... somehow I missed this thread. Anyway, here is my 30" x 22" x 16" rimless tank. It's made out of 3/4" acrylic. ;)

Amazing reef tank, got more pics? what skimmer are you running? please give us some info on your set up.

PD. Watch out for the tang police, how are you keeping up with the nitrate with all that fish bioload?

Guys Im about to upgrade my 34g 20" rimless cube and have several in mind

which one would you recommend and why?

36"x28"x18" (78g)
36"x25"x20" (78g)
30"x30"x20" (78g)

Will probably use a 24" fixture (ATI 10 bulb) or a pendant

Corals
LPS, ricordeas, bubble tip anemones, mushrooms, zoas, brain, acans, I do NOT intend to have SPS since its gonna have a large fish bioload but with a large skimmer.

Fish
Pair of perculas, school of anthias and a pair of tangs.

when I here large skimmer, I think larger sump...I would go with the largest foot print and more shallow

36x28x18

36x30x16!?

so where is everyone putting the return lines from there overflows at? on the bottom or on the back panel underneath the overflow

Mine are both at the bottom of the overflow box. My aim is to have a clean appearing setup. Only bummer is with the use of powerheads, there are powercords that I have to somehow minimize.

if/when i end up doing one, i think i have decided to bulkhead into the overflow, then loc-line over the top into the tank. do my anti-siphon holes in the loc-line inside the overflow area so the small amount of "squirting" they would do just drains back to the sump

i was thinking of a cube rimless with 3 side viewable. should i put the returns in the overflow? or would that be pushing water away from the overflow. i could drill the bottom of the tank and put the returns towards the overflow.
also debating CL vs PH

Thanks...I am running a Reef Octopus BH 100SS Hang On The Back With Surface Skimmer. I have an auto top off, a acro-calcium reactor, and a poly reactor filled with pura complete. Nitrates are extremely low. I do bi weekly 20% water changes. Other than that the tank is pretty much automated...

Well I'll be joining the club, here's a top shot of my 12" x 12" x 9" AIO custom made acrylic tank. Should start adding stuff in 2 weeks. Not as impressive as other posters but hopefully will be one day
