Rimless Aquarium Club

The tank is 48x36x20
Nice. I'm doing one now 48x36x24. Putting a coast to coast external overflow on mine. Going 2 SE MH 250w/2 110v VHO's on mine.
Is he going to put a euro brace on it? Even with 3/4" without the brace it will bow slightly. Love the rimless look though.

Yes , He will have to put a 5" brace all the way around it and he is building the overflow right now. I think that I am going to buy the 10 blub ati light but I still worried about if that is going to be enough light . The guy at the shop that is making my new tank has two 400 mh over his , witch is the same size as the one he is making me.

No center brace? real important! I'm doing a 3" perimeter and a 6" center brace.
I'm not a t5 fan. I think old school lighting is still the best. SE MH/Vho.

As for the 10 bulb ATI you will be fine unless you are stacking corals against the very back of your tank.. I have the same dimensions as you with my rock setup as two island. Its great because LPS don't like direct T5 light, so it gives them just the right light concentration to thrive in the front or back.

Pictures of my second aquascape from a few weeks ago. I've already done another one that I don't have pictures of yet, but I added 20 new frags since this one.

magnolia, that's a sweeet looking tank with a nice light fixture. It has definite potential.
(other than the Grey Goose vodka, excellent 'equipment' choices overall  )

lol.. that's what I meant. ;) I remember reading a little while ago about how Grey Goose lost BAD in a blind taste test. Don't remember the other brands, and I'm sure no one was using the vodka to dose though

yea it is pretty bad stuff but its all the woman had in the cab. im more of a so co guy my self.. now come on there has to be more rimless FTS s out ther

Yeah customdusty. I am digging the tank, light and fish choice you have. Looking nice.

Thank! I just got my new camera today so I'll be able to get some better pictures and macros pretty soon. I'll be posting them on my build thread when I get back from Europe in two weeks.

Guys i am doing a rimless of 3.5x2.5x1.5. well keeping SPS. tank and cabinet ready now left the Lights. Should i go for an ATI Powermodul 39w 8 or 10 tubes
or should i go for iesemann MATRIX T-5 900 mm (8 x 39W)

If it's worth anything, I'm setting up something quite similar to yours (deminsions in my signature below) & Grim Reefer suggested the ATI 8 bulb fixture.

Thank you... the misses saw your tank here and told me she wants one of those instead of the 22x22x20 I was builder her. :)

So cube goes to the office and back to the drawing board.
