Does anyone have advice on how to get in touch with AGE?
I can not get them on the phone or a resonse from email.

I have tried to use Jeremy from PA to get a quote and he also has not had luck.

thanks

Jay

Looks great Alpha! When are you gonna put some water in there? Are you going the minimalistic approach for the scape?

Well after shutting down my system and removing a 6 inch DSB from my tank I went to cut the pipes on my drain and my overflow box broke.
I will never get a custom tank again!!

I will be purchasing a new Elos 160XL on Friday afternoon:bigeyes:

Jessie will hold it until my new house is built.

I hate the hobby:fun4:

i have a rimless tank now, first one ever! yay!!

i was wondering about the foam under the bottom...i did not know to put foam, in fact i was told to use a solid piece of wood b/c the tank has a floating bottom...

it is all setup and level and running currently....will i be ok or am i just being paranoid... i am a woman so i tend to be a little paranoid :)

Everyone I know that has rimless tanks has told me about the perils of not using foam under the tank.
I have never figured out why.

i have a rimless on the way. any particulars (pertaining to foam) that i should take into consideration? i was thinking about some black foam mats like you stand on or something of that sort. could use some insight from the pros...

thanks-

Locally, it is conventional wisdom to have some sort of foam under any tank, rimless or not. So apparently this is not the practice across the world. The reasoning is that if there is a speck of sand or just a dot of unevenness on the resting surface, the pressure will concentrate on that point and break the bottom eventually. With the foam the unevenness would just sink into the foam and spread the pressure evenly on the tank bottom. To me it make sense because there is no perfectly even surface, and especially that glass is a relatively hard and stiff material.
