Rimless Aquarium Club

@Mixer

Well I just blasted through build thread real quick. Looks amazing. The stand turned out really nice. I wish my woodworking skills were that good.

Mixer,

Looking nice! Like the anthis and tang, look good. You filled the tank up quickly.

KC350,

I have a Reef Savvy tank and the build quality is fantastic. All edges are beveled, it is rimless too like Ricks. I am still waiting on some equipment to set it up. Shoot Felix an e-mail at Reef Savvy, he is quick to respond and provided excellent customer service before and during my tank build.

I'll have to start a build once I am ready to set it up.

Has anyone had a Mr. Aqua Rimless? I just ordered the 11.4 gallon (18.9"x11.8"x11.8"). It looked to be a pretty sweet deal for the money. How is the quality of it though?

I have been seeing a few Reef Savvy tanks around. Looks well built, any info you can provide? Ballpark price range?

Kc3, You will start seeing them more and more. Felix is really busy and has a bunch of tanks on back order. His work it top notch and some of the best I have ever seen. His prices are really good too. A tank like mine with GH overflow costed under $850. He will have a booth at MCNA this year. He has built show tanks for a few of the large vendors that will be at MCNA also. Like mentalnote said, he is quick to respond and when he builds a tank for you he will call you during the build and make sure everything is done they way you want. He is also a reefer so he has a lot of knowledge about designs also.

Thanks for the props :)! I have been honing my skills over the years and this is one of my best jobs yet. I have actually been following your thread for a while and your tank was one of the reasons I bought a quality tank this time and not a GC tank...

Hey Peter!

Can't wait to see your build when you start it. I am loving my tank, it is sooo nice!

Reef Savvy is not cheap, I quoted them and miracles, and AGE. This is for a 48x24x24, three sided starphire with overflow and drilled, rimless, of course.

Miracles and AGE were around $1650 shipped to Cincinnati.

Reef Savvy was $1700 without shipping.

Coast to Coast is $2100 without shipping. That is WITH 15% off and FREE starphire glass upgrade.

There were a few others but AGE and miracles have the best prices and are very reputable.

That would be 3/4" glass, not cheap stuff. I know his prices for 1/2" glass tanks are right in line with anyone else of their caliber.

It's definitely the 24" height, several of these manufacturers recommended 20" to avoid the 3/4" - saving some serious cash. Regardless, all of those quotes are based on the same aquarium with 3/4" front and side panes.

An updated picture of mine, having now been converted to a T5 only tank:

Here is my glasscages 36x37x18 rimless. I built the stand myself which was quite a project. Glad to join the rimless association! They did a great job.
