The tank is 48"x25"x29.5". I'm using a standard 75G as my sump/ fuge. For lighting I'm using a Current USA Outter Orbit Pro. It has 2x 250W MH and 4 54W t-5s. The skimmer is a Reef Octopus Extreme 200. For the flow I'm using 4 Koralia 4s. And for the return, I'm using a Mag 9.5 and a Rio 2500. Everything is controlled by an Aquacontroller Jr.

:)

Good luck with your new tank!

That looks like a electrical fire waiting to happen..... Either a fire or someone will get electrocuted....

Sorry dude

My tanks basically a total DIY from lights through to skimmer. It's been running for around three months now. Its 700mm x 700mm x 400m with 12mm glass.

Diy lights cree xr-e 100watts
Diy skimmer pyramid
3000ltr quiet one return
2x 6045 nanno streams
Small cryptic zone 400x300mmx250mm

When you guys post new tanks, it'd be nice to include some specs and details about your new posts.

Sorry, it's been a while for mine and it's hardly one of the more impressive examples in this thread, but FWIW...

It was a 36"x24"x24" glass tank made by a Japanese company called Aqua Collection. Lighting was two mini Hamilton 250w pendants (14k), flow was provided by two Tunze Streams (the old style - smallest controllable size). Euroreef skimmer.

And to ensure people don't have to look back at the last page to cross-reference, here it is again. Sorry I don't have any better shots...

I can't wait to join this club....decision time...ELOS or Lee Mar?

ELOS all the way if you can handle the cost. They're amazing tanks.

Also, I'd like to add that there's some really nice tanks out there!

Timmysli, do you have pictures of the skimmer's performance? That looks very interesting to say the least. (In a good way, of course)

Sick looking skimmer.....Can those LED's keep sps corals?
Any par numbers?

The skimmer works fairly well. I've only just put two fish into the tank this week so there hasn't been any real bioload in the tank to test the skimmer. I've removed the funky head off the skimmer as it was hard to clean and seemed to block easily, now I just have a small collection cup.

Heres a vid from when I was building/testing the skimmer:

I don't have a par meter, I wish i did so I could get a btter understanding of how much light I actually have lol. So far I've had good results with some sps and bad results with others. I've never been a good sps reefer so I'm unsure if the lights are not up to par or if my husbandry's to blame for brown acro's.

Hi there,

After learning and experimenting. I have come to the conclusion that building my own rimless tank is not an option. I have no tools, time, or the skill. I did more research and have have found a place that seems cheap enough to buy a rimless tank:

http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=46

Anyone had done business with them or knows of their work quality? I am thinking on going with their 80 Cube (Rimless).

Thank you for your thoughts.

I have read mixed reviews about glasscages....Some love them and some say stay away...They are the cheapest but its like rolling the dice with them I heard...
