Rimless drop off tank strength

Due to a lot of the comments.. I asked my tank maker to add some bracing on top.. Since the top of the tank is eye level, and im 6'1", having the tank not rimless is not a big deal aesthetically and it adds a lot of piece of mind.. I will update pictures once i have finished the other things to be done.

Dude for a $100 that's a steal. What do you plan on putting in your tank? Saw a similar style design on here and it looks awesome. Can't wait to see yours up and running.

You should be fine with rimless. You could add a thin sheet of rubber underneath the tank to help as well. Are you going to do a build thread on this? Oh never mind my idea I just saw you said you said you already had it running.

Where would one even go to get a price quote on a tank like this? Absolutely love the drop off tanks and the potential thy have! Looks great btw keep it up and good luck with it

That tank is soooo nice! I get super sketched by rimless tanks. Judging from the dimensions you included it looks to be the same length and width as a 120 "fat boy" tank. You can purchase the plastic bracing for those. And they're super easy to instal... just need silicone. I personally would build my own stand and add the top brace. But that's just me! Water messes are super expensive.

If the tank was built professionally I would maybe run it without the top frame and bracing. But, judging from what you said about the stand, it's possibly a DIY tank? If so... bracing for sure.

hi is this tank going im looking to build similar but need some help on the design and the rad needed on the front and back pane of glass where the L shape is

also it looks like the 4 walls go around the base glass? not like just traditional tanks where the 4 walls sat on top of the base
