Ive just heard some extremely sad news....Steve Irwin has died doing what he loved and was passionate about, which was saving the enviromental and educating the public about the beauties of nature. Personally, ever since I was small (around 6th grade) Steve Irwin, the crocadile hunter, has honestly been my hero. I'm big about saving the enviroment and honestly, im extremely heart broken. He's served as a rolemodel for all of us and an icon of Australia and has affected our world in a very positive way. Please everyone, spare a moment of your time and honor the memories of one of the most passionate enviromentalists that's ever walked this Earth.

RIP Steve Irwin, i will remember you.

Sadness

Sadness

It amazed me early this morning when i saw the news online was saddened and amazed all the huge crocs and truly dangerous animals he handles to get taken out by a stingray barb to the chest

I too will miss him. I really thought that he eduacated so many adults as well as children in regards to all the beautiful creatures that inhabit our earth.
My sympathy also goes to his family and friends and to all of us that enjoyed watching him.

RIP

God speed, may his soul find the eternal peace he so deeply deserves. He was a true MAN. one of peace and understanding, he made it cool to be a champion of nature, all with a smile and a laugh, he will truly be missed.

I too am so sad to read of Steve Irwin's untimely death. It seems like it can't be true. He was such an ADVENTURER! My whole family grieves his loss and we send our love and comfort to his family.

Definetly, His death was definetly untimely, when i first heard it last night i honestly wouldnt believe it for the first hour... we definetly have to respect nature and always be aware of certain dangers, even the things that arnt that big of a threat, such as stingrays. I remember watching bindi sue and Bob Irwin grow up and now that she's 8 and he's 3, it's as if we were all part of the Irwin family, sharing the good and happy times, saving animals and seeing rare and fascinating creatures, and bad times, such as beautiful animals who have met their fate and of course this ultimate tragic event. I remember thinking to myself that my future children might watch this show, learn about this planet and its creatures, and they might get into saving the enviroment as much as i did and even share the same rolemodel. My condolences go out to the irwin family and personal friends and even to the whole world, every possible living thing on this planet, whether it be a human, dog, cat, snake crocadile, ect has lost a beloved friend. :(

You will not be forgotten.

Hubby woke me up to tell me this morning, I'm so shocked and saddened that this has happened. I've been a fan for years, not only did he educate but entertained as well. His enthusiasm and passion for what he was doing was so striking. God Speed Stevo. Condolences to Terry, Bindi, and Bob.

If there was a beach clean up or sometype of enviromental activity in the honor of Steve Irwin, would anyone be interested? I'm aware theres a beach cleanup scheduled for sometime in the future.

When I first heard it I did not believe it either. I feel so bad for his family. Steve Irwin served as role model for a lot of people.

R.I.P. Gone but NEVER forgotten!!

He was the Jaques Cousteau of crocs...too bad he did not make it to the age of Jaques. I could just imagine him at 80 still saying, "Woah, girl!! She is a fiesty one." Someone will take his place in environmental affairs, but noone can replace Steve, the man, to his wife, kids, friends, etc. Such a friendly creature dying at the hands of such a gentle giant. Just odd, really.
