I just got 3 new croceas from riptidereef.com and they are BEAUTIFUL, great prices, nice setup (its an online store but as I live pretty close he let me go down there look at his setups and cherry pick). He must have around 4 dozen clams, all of them looked really healthy, I saw a couple maximas that I thought were really neat and not knowing much about clams asked him about them and he said they weren't for sale as they came to him in bad shape and he thought at first they were going to die but he has had them for 5 weeks to recover and they are looking better but he didn't want to sell any clam that he wasn't sure was a good quality clam so he was going to hold on to them for a while longer to make sure they were ok. Not only that but this, which I think is really awesome, he keeps his clams under 10k light with 2 VHO actinics, instead of 20k light like most places to make the pictures look better, so basically you know that what you are getting on the site will look as good if not better in your tank. He also had some really nice SPS and zoas, including some tyree limited stuff at really good prices. Sorry I'm rambling, but I think I just found my new clam dealership :-), will post some pictures up later.

Here are some pictures of the new clams, unfortunately the blue lined one I couldn't get a top down shot on with any definition due to my camera sucking and the heavy surface flow where this clam is, please don't hold it against the clam :-).

Better front shot of the black and green, only posted both as the first one picks up the black color better

Front shot of the blue lined, I'm sorry but I couldn't get a top shot as I mentioned before so you'll just have to try to imagine the stronger colors and color definition

Top shot of the purple rainbow, if only I had a super awesome camera and one of those camera water box things

holy crap italy, is reefing a big thing there? Do you find you have a different selection of stuff than we do here?

well some corals that for us is rare for you might be common and viceversa.
You can see some nice italian tank here www.reefitalia.net
for sure Tridacna clam are more expensive here than there, instead seems like that our corals are little less expensive than there ;)

I saw the nice tank on the open page, if only I could read everything, why did I learn german in college. Do you have a lot of availability of the tyree limited stuff?

well some corals are very similar to Tyree's one I have some of him,but I bought them there when I was on vacation in USA.Tyree's one are amazing

Billy has done me well,
I have ordered from him several times, his pricing is very fair.
Since I live in FL and my orders are more than $75 the shipping is free. I've had only one problem with a clam that died two days after getting it and Billy quickly said to pick another from his site, shipping is not part of the replacement and this I can fully understand, but his business practice is top notch. I will be placing another order very soon.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I cant tell you how much we appreciate word of mouth between fellow reefkeepers. Not just because it helps business, but it also lets me know Im doing something right! Thanks again!!
