RJT's In-wall 220g

I can finally clean all sides of a tank. Having the rocks not touching any glass had made a huge difference.

Picked up some new frags:

This weekend I did go a little crazy and bought more corals and another clam is on its way. Now I am wondering if my kalk stirrer will be enough for a while longer. So I started looking for a calcium reactor. After talking to a smart reefer and researching it I decided on a Geo 618 and a CarbonDoser Electric Co2 Regulator.

Thank you! Yes I did. It was a nice trip. He has great fish that I have never heard of before and a great coral selection. I picked up a coral they I had won auction with our local forum and two more corals. One of them is in the second to last pic. The green branching monti has red polyps that extend out. They aren't out in the pic because I just placed them into the tank but you can see where they will come out at with the red areas.

On the way back I stopped by a local reefers house and bought 4 more corals, including my favorite enchinata. I have over 30 pieces of coral now. In a few weeks they are all, except for the euphyllia's and zoas, going on the rocks to free up the sand. Conchs keep knocking corals over. I think in a few weeks they will be acclimated to the led's by then.

Thank you dave.m I do dip but I have not QT my corals. After reading that post now I see that I don't have a choice but to QT. I have a 15g that I can use, just need some eggcrate to raise the corals or a better light.

Haven't taken care of the tank that well the last 10 days. Needed a mental break so I remounted the frags and put them higher in the tank. I also setup the video camera so I can see whats going on when I'm not there. Its pretty nice. Here is a snap shot from the video camera.

Richard - What video camera did you use and is it connected to the Apex so you can monitor it all the time or an web cam?

Good to hear from you. Its a Wansview webcam connected to wifi. From doing a fair amount of research this one seems okay. I think foscam is the industry leader in this price range (less than $100-mine was $60 with free shipping) but too many people complained about their poor customer service and add on fees.

Now I can be anywhere in the world and see the tank. The only thing about it I would change is having a zoom feature. It tilts, goes across the room, auto focus and night vision so I am pretty happy with it.

I adjusted the height of the camera. Its amazing how much of a difference that makes.

New addition

I used the seller pic because my camera is nowhere near as good for this clam

I finally setup the reefkeeper to use on the net. It was really easy.

Also setup the diy auto water change system using 2 50g drums. One for taking water out and the other putting new saltwater in. I used 2 brs ato pumps set on a timer to run 1 hour a day.

word of advice - i would lock the pvc pipes from the overflow box. with the pressure going down the pipe might shake a little bit. over time this might crack your tank.

Just made it back from a 5 day trip to CT. Setup autofeeder and BRS pump for ATO. Had webcam setup so I could at least see if I wanted to go into the fish room when I got back. Everything looked great. I'm glad my fish likes all types of foods.

Richard - Which auto-feeder did you use?
