The positive side about RK is that I've heard good customer service from their end, while AC3 is pretty poor. But it may be because the RKE is new and they have tons of fire to put out.

Most people have had pretty good luck with customer service on their AC3's. Curt is very active on the forums and responsive to phone calls.

AC III Pro has been great going on two years (one year away from home). Web access and e-mail have been perfect. Programming is very easy. Controls and monitors everything I want it too. I have nearly all the bells and whistles as well (expansion module, lunar lights, DC4, DC4HD, IO breakout box and I even have a few XM alarm modules around the house for different alarm priorities).

Customer service has been great.

No equipment malfunction except a few fuses.

The only downside is my wife hates it when I e-mail or call her about an alarm

I have both an Aquatronica and a Profilux.

Aquatronica is a nice controller with very expandable architecture. However they have had some issues/problems and the factory doesn't work one-on-one with users--ie, no factory rep on the Aquatronica forum here at RC.

Profilux on the other hand has awsome support (as well as trouble-free products)! Their owner comes on the boards all the time to help out. They also have by far the most options/gizmos of any controller on the market and they are very busy releasing new ones all the time.

You simply can't go wrong with Profilux. Get a starter pack for $599 and add to it as your situation allows.

I'm sure RKE will get there eventually but who wants to wait if you need a controller now?

JMO,

James
