RLSS Waveline DC-4000 / DC-6000 / DC-12000 Pre-order!

Thanks Jeremy, and yes I did but RLSS is already shipping me one. My concern was mainly the fact that it happened at all. That's more of what my question 'what now' is about as I don't want this to be a constant problem. Have you all heard any other instances of this? Anyone else here experienced it? If a new part isn't different from my current part it will most likely do the same thing I would think.

They were using stainless threads in the housing which is what were rusting, the new housings have titanium threads in them.

Well, less than a month in the tank and there is rust coming from between the impeller housing and the pump. Not good. Now, what to do? Ugh

After one month later problem still has not been resolved:

In the process of looking for another brand. Thinking Tunze so I can control it from the apex. However, the Sicces makes a stronger pump either case they both helped each other create their pump lineup and both are made in either Germany or Italy.

That said, I have been happy with the RLSS 6i protein skimmer so far.

Edit: Just talked to Michelle on the phone. No ETA as of yet on the new housings. So, now basically for now I don't really trust my backup DC6000. I will be looking for a new brand *maybe* I will sell one of the DC6000 and try to recoup some money. I did buy both dc6000 from PA I hope they send me two housings.

Are you referring to the new titanium thread housings? If so, we have those in stock right now and can get one shipped right out to you. There may have been a break down in communication between the two of you?

I need two sets for both pumps, I think the housing and the screws. If this fixes it then I will be content :) I can email you the invoices again if you want.

Edit: emailed you the invoices.

dc-20,000

dc-20,000

My dolphin is throttled a bit, but it's getting most of the flow...

I guess my question is when will we know when the DC-20,000 be coming out. If it's 12+ months I'll buy a dc-12,000 and upgrade later. But if someone had a date then I can decide if it's worth waiting, or buying and having an extra pump.

The upgrade 0-10v controller has been shipped to Canada as of this week for testing, so they are getting much closer on that now.

As far as the DC-20000 goes that is completely on the back burner. The problem is that they are having a tough time sourcing a UL listed 300w power supply for this pump. So if you're in a position where you're holding out for that pump I would suggest to start looking for alternatives for now.

Now you say a 300w power supply. Would that mean that it would have an energy consumption of 300w when it's in operation? I'm just curious because I would like a DC-20000 myself but not if it's not more efficient than my Reeflo Hammerhead

It would not be a constant draw at 300w, it would depend on what speed you're running the pump. I don't want to throw any numbers around though since I haven't been able to test one.

Does anyone have information about the Water Blaster HY-16000w Water Pump. This is currently being sold by coralVue and I'm considering buying it rather than waiting on the dc-20000. I just cannot find any information about the controller.

The Water Blaster 16000 is a great pump that runs fairly quiet, efficient, and is certainly reliable. However, it is not a DC pump that has a controller on it though, it's an AC pump, which is not a bad thing by any means and it's easily controller by just putting a ball valve on the outlet of the pump to restrict it back if needed.

Jeremy, have the new controllers come in yet? I am looking to purchase one for my DC 6000.

Sorry for the delayed response. They're in testing in Canada right now. Once all is going well with that I should be hearing some more about timeline on when to expect these in here.
