RMS XR15 Tank Mount

So I know the elephant in the room is "when will these be available". I'm not going to start another thread asking that question.

Instead, I have a question concerning how long the rail kits will be and how far across the aquarium from the back towards the front will they extend?

According to your website the XR15w light will accommodate a spread of 24"x24". But in reading the specs on the XR15 Tank Mount, it states that "multiple rail lengths are included to accommodate aquariums that are 12 to 20 inches (30.5 to 61cm) front to back."

My tank has a depth (front to back) of 24 inches which is quite common in the reef tank world. Will your XR15 Tank Mount allow me to have the light extend to the center of the aquarium (12"), or will it extend only 10" causing the light to be disproportionately towards the rear of the tank?

I was thinking the same thing. My new tank build is 48x24x22h and have tentatively decided on XR15s but when the website mentioned it fits tanks to 20" wide, it had me thinking.

Would like a clarifying response from Ecotech.

To answer your question, yes the RMS will be able to center an XR15w Pro over your 24" deep aquarium.
