RO/DI filter change time

So I have not change my RO/DI membrane in 5 years maybe 2 but it still reads 1 to 2 after the membrane. It is a dual membrane which recycles the first waste water for less waste water but figured I would change them now anyway. My questions it I should not have any issue with putting it in the crawl space under the house right? It never gets too cold down there and definitely not cold enough to freeze ever. This would open up quite a bit of room under my tank where the RO/DI unit currently resides. 5 stage plus the RO filters takes up a bit of room.

Also with the color changing DI cartiges *SpectraPure Silicabuster Color Indicating Super Di Cartridge) what the hell color does it change to? I cannot find anything telling me this.
