RO DI filter changes

Im just curious, how often do you change your filters in your RO DI set-ups? I need to buy a better TDS meter, but I find myself just guestimating after many moths of use when to change them.

I plan on ordering one of the dual line meters to more acurately tell me when a cartridge needs to be swapped out.

But Im curious what schedule do you guys change the sediment, carbon block , di and membranes?

I change my sediment and carbon when sediment cartridge looks orange. DI when the color changes or tds starts to show. Membranes can be flushed and promotes longer life, I would change it if you still get tds reading after some new di resin was in place.

What tds reading is bad? anything above zero? I have a crappy one now that just has a light that says good or bad. I just got done ordering a dual-line meter, so what number should I be on the look out for.

Oh yeah. Where do you hook the two JG fitting to? Im sure after the DI, but what about the other one -- before the membrane, and after the sediment filter, or after the matrix carbon?

Not so much the # of tds but when it begins to climb rapidly or makes a jump it means the membrane is saturated and no longer working proper. Actually just got done reading a little about this in another thread.
