RO/DI filters and water softeners?

Can I get the same tds results with an RO/DI filter if Im pumping softened water thru it? Will the softerned water hurt the RO system? I dont have a lot of options for tapping into a water line prior to my softening system

The softened water is a good thing. The only real difference that you will see is that your ro membrane and di resin will tend to last a bit longer.
