RO/DI hookup to washer connection

I'm about to move out of my college house into a condo w/ my fiance. I'm trying to figure out how to run my RO/DI. Hard plumbing is not an option. I have the faucet connection but it would have to go in the second bathroom (down the hall a bit). If in the second bathroom the line would have to run along the ground and across the dining room to where the tank will sit. The only other option is to T off the supply for the washing machine which sits in a room just off the kitchen (anyone do this before?) Of course, I'd have to find a way to export the drain line from the RO. Any ideas?

You want a Y connector: brass is ok since it's before it goes into the ro/di: you can get this at Lowe's, Home Depot, or any plumbing supply company. Unscrew the coldwater hose from your washing machine, attach the Y-unit: leave the side going to your washer open full, shut off the side going to your ro/di. You should have a coupling that can take the ro/di input line to an ordinary screw-on faucet: that goes to the Y connector. The yellow (waste) line goes right down the drain that the washing machine empties into---just stuff it down there, but loop it behind the other plumbing to make sure it doesn't come loose in use.
You're ready to go: secure the blue (good water) line in your collection bucket (on the floor) and bulldog clip it so it won't come out, turn on the valve, only as much as you need (it may be high pressure) to bring pressure up between 40 and 50, and let it go. Use your kitchen timer and check it hourly.
This is what I use. I'm investigating getting an auto topoff to set in said bucket while I'm on vacation: in a busy life, this is desirable. We're thinking of getting a cheap cabinet to sit by the tank to conceal same.

Here you go:

Let me answer for oldsalty, yes that is the discharge. I have mine setup the same way as oldsalty, it works well.
