RO/DI Install Help

I am losing it. I have tried installing a coralife RO/DI system onto my washer cold water line and nothing is working.

Here were the two attempts I made:
the one on the left produced a slow but intolerable leak and the second just sprayed water. Before I trow this off the roof, anyone have an idea?

Go to get a y adapter and remove your washing machine cold water line and install the y ( y has one line that splits into two lines) now put the washing machine on one side of the y and with the hose adapter from the RODI unit put it on the other side! wala now you can turn the RODI on and off as needed. But don't forget you have it on! Forgot the y has on/off valves.

If the leak or spray is coming from around the threads, you can try to remedy this by wrapping several turns of teflon tape around the faucet threads. The Y would be a good idea as well if you are using the water supply for your washer also

Have the y and have installed teflon tape...

I can't tell what that picture is supposed to be showing, but if the fittings (push fit style usually for RO/DI... can't think of the real name) have a knick in the o-ring that is inside of them or a score on the actual tubing, they will leak even if you are installed correctly. Could that be your problem?

I got it, I needed to insert a metal piece in the tube to keep it from collapsing.
